This is Carnival's take on the British pub classic ale, brewed using a base of pale malt, and an intriguing combination of amber, melanoidin and a touch of chocolate malt to create a base wort with a beautiful amber hue. We added the distinctive bitterness with some East Kent Goldings and fermented using English ale yeast.
The resulting beer is a deliciously rich and tasty bitter with hints of digestive biscuit and crackers.
Bitter Winter is a small run in cans and an absolute must for fans of Lawrence, Go-Kart Mozart, Felt, Denim with the delightful label produced by Lawrence's long-time collaborator, Tim Benton.
Shipping will commence on Monday 18th December.
