All the way from San Francisco on their way to Chickfactor 30, we are preparing to present to the indie lovers of Liverpool, the wonderful sparkling sounds of The Umbrellas, Seablite and By The Sea.
On Monday 24th October, you can expect to glide into a heady frenzy with the jangle pop of The Umbrellas and swayed gently into euphoria by the shimmering sounds of Seablite, with local legends, By The Sea bringing their beautiful melodies to this incredible bill.
The Umbrellas
The Umbrellas hit the indie scene in a sprint, with their self titled LP selling out and having had represses. Their latest 7” single “Write it in the Sky” on Slumberland Records is a beautiful slice of all things Paisley Underground and West Coast.
Seablite
Seablite bring you back to shoegaze but shunt you forward to the now. Wonderful harmonies your cranium and a welcome emotion response of calm and euphoria emit. Their debut LP, Grass Stains and Novocain came out on the suitably matched Emotional Response Records. Now on their way to releasing the next LP we are sure they’ll be debuting some new tunes to delight.
Liam and Co are friends of Carnival and have pretty much been part of our journey since opening back in December 2019. Safe to say, they're one of the greatest guitar bands you'll see. We'll leave the rest to Bill Ryder-Jones, who says: "I’m producing for my friend's band at the moment, they’re called By The Sea. I like them, they’re the least pretentious band I’ve ever met, and it shows in their music."
